ROMU
ROMU derives from Roskilde Museum which was established in 1929. Today ROMU consists of 10 museums across three municipalities: Roskilde, Lejre and Frederikssund. ROMU strives to be a prominent actor in Danish cultural life and ROMU has an ambition to actualise knowledge of cultural heritage and make this knowledge relevant.
ROMU is one out of 10 museums on a national level that has been appointed by Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen to handle supervision of multiple Danish protected sites and monuments. Furthermore, the museum handles the supervision of the central and western part of Zealand.

ROSKILDE MUSEUM
Experience the tale of Roskilde city and region and its cultural heritage seen through unique archaeological findings and interesting objects from recent history.
FREDERIKSSUND MUSEUM
In the beautiful exhibition of the old Færgegård (ferry house), you can experience the history of the lands of the fjord from ancient times to present day Denmark.
LEJRE MUSEUM
Experience the sagas, facts and unique archaeological findings of the Viking Age from Gl. Lejre. Amongst other things you can see the world famous Odin figurine and the Treasure of Mannerup.
TADRE MØLLE
The old watermill ‘Tadre Mølle’ is the perfect place for an outing in green surroundings with family and friends. In the old mill shop, it is possible to purchase coffee, tea, ice cream and other delicious treats.
LÜTZHØFTS KØBMANDSGAARD
The old grocery store ‘Lützhøfts Købmandsgaard’ is, with its historical charm, fragrant smell of spices and original interior, like taking a time machine right back into 1920’s Roskilde.
SANKT LAURENTIUS
Go underground in the middle of the central square of Roskilde ‘Stændertorvet’ and travel 1000 years back in time. Experience a unique and hidden gem dating back to the early medieval period in Denmark.
